We all know that light is made up of a collection of many colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
That is why a prism can take in white light on one side and produce its own mini-rainbow on the other side.
To understand rainbows, you have to start by understanding what is happening inside a prism to let it separate white light into its colors.
In a rainbow, raindrops in the air act as tiny prisms.
Light enters the raindrop, reflects off of the side of the drop and exits where it is broken into a spectrum just like it is in a triangular glass prism,

How do they forecast the weather?
Weather forecasting is the application of science and technology to predict the state of the atmosphere for a future time and a given location.
The weatherman has attempted to predict the weather informally for years.
Weather forecasts are made by collecting quantitative data about the current state of the atmosphere and using scientific understanding of atmospheric processes to project how the atmosphere will evolve.
OR here in Cancun they look for rainbows or cloud formations. Or red skies.
OR red skirts as the case may be.
In 650 BC, the Babylonians predicted the weather from cloud patterns as well as astrology.

As conditions down in Cancun are chaotic guesses (forecasts) are often off. Using barometric pressure and the pressure tendency (the change of pressure over time) has been used in forecasting since the late ninetenth century. Unfortunately the barometer here broke and no one has parts to fix it.

Cancun weather is a strange thing.

If there is a fifty per-cent chance of rain this does not mean there is an even chance of it raining all day everywhere in Cancun or not.
No one knows what it means.
What we think it means is that there is a 50% chance that some rain may fall in some part of Cancun.
It doesn't predict the severity of the rain, it's extent nor its duration. So the prediction may be considered accurate even if a few drops of rain fall for a minute in a very off-the-track area of Cancun So put away that umbrella and put your dancing shoes on!

Shopping	Plaza Americas in a fully indoor mall with just about everything. In town. In the hotel zone both Plaza Caracol and Forum by the Sea offer indoor malls with exclusive merchandise
