The fact is there is a restaurant at this hotel. But that don't necesarily mean it will be open.
It is known to close from time to time (which is out of our control) for reasons no one knows.
Possible reasons this restaurant may be closed when you get there:

Pedro lost the key to the restaurant doorThe president of the Bank of Mexico ate all the foodThe cook ran off to take a job as a profesor in OaxacaPeople prefer the numerous restaurants only two minutes from the hotel

Evert 15 minutes a bus runs in front of this hotel which in two minutes takes you to a small town with not only good restaurants but stores to shop and buy food and other suppplies.
