Bob from Canada says:
Aconomical, Mexican style hotel, on outskirts of Mascota, with lovely gardens and many interesting birds etc., including peacocks. Large room with kitchenette and tiny balcony. Not luxurious but , for standard Mexican hotels, adequate and quite comfortable
Other comments mention the cable system was out on the TV. Or the restaurant was not serving so the guests went out to find a restaurnt in Mascota.
otra comentario:

The Hacienda Hotel is located adjacent to the town square in downtown Mulege. The rooms are clean and reasonable and there is a swimming pool with a bar/restaurant in the patio for relaxation. There is a great new bar/restaurant, Pelican Reef, adjacent to the hotel and the food there is absolutely 5-star!

There are two museums in Mascota. The anthropology museum. Small with a few exhibits. And the Raul Museum. This latter one is more interesting showing some old furnishings from the past.

There is also the Casa de Piedra.
Two brothers who may have OD on mushrooms have great places to show you.
The stone house is full of stone covered items. Picture frames of stone, toilet bowl and seat cover made of stone, a stone sink, bed pillows of stone, TV, chess set made of stone, the original stone pizza, it's a joy to walk around with the owner guide. He has a brother who is probably stone(d), who has a collection of Mexican movie stars, posters, music, furniture, pictures, in a set of small rooms, each opening with a set of old keys, that is just a few doors up from the stone house. It is also worth your time to visit. Both brother's are entertaining.
Even the bed is of stone. These brothers are a trip. Dig them. And the stone house. They are nearby Mascota Jalisco.

A short distance from the town of Mascota (10 minutes by auto) is the Juanacatlan Lagoon.
Many believe it to be in the crater of a volcano and the water comes from an underground stream and small springs. The lagoon is surrounded by conifers1 and unmatched natural environment in which to enjoy magnificent scenery and wildlife, in addition to activities such as: hiking, boating, fishing, biking and horseback riding. Giddy-ap.
