In
the painting to the left we see the artist's interpretation of the classic Old
Testament story of Abraham ready to sacrifice his only son Iasac to show his
love and faith in God. For any reason human sacrifice is human sacrifice. The
angel is telling Abraham not to do it and his holding back his hand.
What do you think the
angel is saying:
- I told you to bring a virgin!
- You'll get 7 to 10 and no parole
- Your wife'll never give you any after this
- Just tell God you love him and this isn't necessary
- God is a God of love He doesn't need this
So each culture had it's shtick
