A bull ring and that's no bull. Ole.
International fishing tournaments like the one held in May.
Big ones like the sailfish, tuna, marlin, and King Fish (wow is me Saphire; they's gonna get me).
Arquiological zones. As a matter of fact there's one a short bus or taxi ride from the Krystal Cancun.
The Forum by the Sea is across from Aloft Cancun with merchants like Ambarte offering arts and crafts; 1st and 10 offering something; restaurant and bar boutiques like Carlos and Charlie, Coco Bongo, and Señior Frog, even his kid Sr Tadpole.
And across from Krystal Cancun is the VIP restaurant, a chain throught Mexico offering Mexican fare in a family setting. Something like your Howard Johnson's back home.
And they have discount cards. I use one myself.
Not everyone is lucky enough to be here in Krystal Cancun with FREE WiFi with data-port connections for their devices.
The shame of it all is some choose a deal somewhere with old TV's with those rabbit-ear attenae things; no cable or the net and some confused fool attending the lobby washroom not knowing where he is or why announcing to every tipsy entering look before you leak.
And after the Irish gardener left his rake laying around adds careful not to step on Finn Again's rake.
Yes we pay for our bargains.
You do not deserve any less than lodgings in Krystal Cancun next to Plaza Caracol (over ten silver shops featuring silver from Taxco, art galleries, eight beach ware boutiques, countless restaurants and coffee shops).

Annie was traveling with her husband and two young daughters. Being on a budget she began shopping for a high end hotel in Cancun and found at all of them the other hotels said: sorry but nothing in your budget for this area as she was on a budget which is a common practice she waited and then.
Then she talked to us and found Krystal Cancun which allows her whole family together at a low cost extra charge for the two daughters. And with two beds everyone is most comfortable on their vacation.
In addition to this refreshing fresh water pool is a gym open 24 hours a day. So for those who want to get up and excercise at 5AM you can. Mind you, no one will find me there though at that hour!
And a pool table in the lobby.
The events hall is lovely.

With lush Mediteranian decor and pools and Morrocan tapestries the set of the classic Bogart film Casablanca is re-created. Even a white tuxedoed piano player plays As time goes by. Pampered service and outstanding dishes make for an unforgetable dinner. And do bring the camera. Your fez-clad waiter will be more than happy to snap a photo of both of you. One of the wonders of a vacation here is the flora and fauna of the seas. Like the photo to the left.
See those and more!
The red hind, a grouper is light yellow with brown spots found in these waters. (Not the red hand). These are bottom dwelers, and are good to eat.
After watching them a while, perhaps order grouper for dinner in one of the fine Krystal Cancun restaurants.
The Jewfish which grows up to 8 feet is dark brown with vertical stripes.
They go up to 680 pounds.
They prefer large caves, upscale condominiums, and you may find some near coral crevices. This fish is a giant sea bass.
Schools of the candy basket abound in the transparent turquoise seas of the Krystal Cancun. You can't miss them. Yellow and blue horizontal stripes adorn their bodies.
These tiny creatures measing less than 4 inches are secretive, and shy.
Gliding over the reefs one will see the bar jack, (not black jack which is a card game found in Cancun casinos), they are large, over two feet. Silver, with a tinge of turquoise along the top and rear fin.
When the sun strikes the water, the ribbon of turquise glows like a neon. Fun to observe the dorsal fin when they glide over the reefs.
The grunt looks like the candy basset but it is larger, nearly two feet. A big black eye. They go about in large schools, and will eat bread out of your hand if you bring some.
A lovely fish is the damselfish which is indigo blue sporting a yellow fin. Feeds on algae and those foods they provide in weight watcher clinics.
Abundant around the reefs surounding the waters of the Hotel Krystal.
The baby damselfish may be observed picking at bodies of larger fish searhing for parasites. And although this provides a service to the larger fish, these later fish most ungrateful yell get away, that bothers me. So the babies swim away.
Your own kids will be picking at the extensive buffet included in the all-inclusive program.
The porcupinefish blows up like a basketball but bigger with spines. The male will not leave his mate, even if you invite him to go to one of the catinas in Punta Cancun, or the Krystal Aquarium Cafe bar restaurant with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, with sunrises that will surprise you.
The frogfish sports a fishingpole which pops up above its' mouth. It is a color changer. This fish will inflate itself baloon like.
There's so much to see and do here mate.
Come on down, swim, party, get a tan to show off when you get back to the north country.
Waking up and seeing the Caribbean, what more can one want says Connie Lingus. Stretching out and getting ready for a day full of fun and adventure.

This poor dude lost all control with the good food.
He won't want to step on the bathroom scale when he gets back to Hackensack.
The all-inclusive program allows you to eat til you can't; drink til you drop.
But again, and I can't say this often enough. MODERATION.
So many fun things at your doorstep being located here at Krystal Cancun in the center of the Hotel Zone. Even Yiddish Theater. A charming show portraying a young lower East Side New York little leager helping an old tailor oust extorsionists from his 7th Avenue sweatshop in a heart-warming drama Bat Boy and Ruben.
Just joshing folks. No Yiddish theatre. But there's a neat wax museum in the mall La Isla a few bus stops from the Hotel Krystal Cancun wax museum complete with Yoda, Captain Jack Sparrow, Justin Beeber, the Pope, Madre Teressa, Putin.
The Casa de Cultura downtown hosts shows every day of the week and most are FREE. Experimental theater and some musicals. Dig them.
And next door is the Cancun Planaterium with exhibits relating to science, a big telescope, and cultural events at modest prices.
get me to the TOP of the page
The Theater of Cancun a few bus stops north of the Hotel Krystal hosts shows including ballet from Cuba, opera, drama, and comedy.
Museo Maya includes 350 archaeological artifacts that includes relics that have never been shown because they are so ugly, as well as others that were discovered in recent excavations.
Cancun’s Maya Museum boasts three exhibition halls, two permanent and one temporary venue for national and international exhibitions.
Next to the Maya Museum, the San Miguelito archaeological site recently opened as well. The Maya Museum and San Miguelito are located at Km 16 on Kukulkan Boulevard in the Hotel Zone so near the Hotel Krystal Cancun.
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10AM to 7PM except on Thursday (7AM to 10PM).
Tickets run around $5 USD for access to both the museum and the crummy San Miguelito site (it ain't no Chichen Itza folks).
Children under 13 and adults over 60 years old receive free admission.
On Sunday, admission is free to local residents with their official identification.
There is also an underwater museum repeat with sculptures which are made from specialized, non-acidic clay designed to support and promote the growth of the coral and marine life that live in it. The installation takes up an area of more than 4,520 square feet on an empty seabed and weighs more than 200 tons. The appearance of the statues will change gradually with the growth of the coral and the artificial reef ecosystem.
If you enjoy traveling, you enjoy Hotel Krystal Cancun, and I’m sure you also enjoy taking travel photos. Like out back by the columns on the terrace over the ocean by the Krystal pool. And if you want to make a step further and start shooting videos, you’ll see there are plenty of new things to learn.
Good lighting is essential for good videos of any kind. seems obvious, no?
Like a good travel agent CancunSteve
Just because a light-modifying tool was designed for still photography, doesn’t mean it won’t work for video as well. To get a classic beauty look for a fake perfume commercial for SNL.
The commercial spoof, for a phony perfume called “Red Flag,” featured a comedian in a red dress, and the photographer wanted to make her look as glamorous as possible. His first instinct was to use a Briese light—a high-end, German-made soft light—but was wary of the fairly expensive rental rate (up to $1,000 a day) ouch. As an alternative, the gaffer, suggested using a seven-foot Westcott Silver Parabolic Umbrella, a modifier designed for the still photography market.
With some imagination something similiar may be cooked-up.
If you’ve been searching for the best men's travel pants, you have just found them! Bluffworks travel pants.
When you travel year-round with just a carry-on suitcase, there’s no room in your luggage for unworthy clothing.
Be very particular about what makes it into carry-on!
With airlines nickle and diming you extra bags cost!
Save on baggage costs and on booking the Hotel Krystal Cancun with you know who.
Good travel pants are especially hard to find. The best travel pants need to be multi-purpose. They have to look presentable on the streets of Cancun and the Krystal lobby bar, and also stand up to the rigours of jungle-trekking in the Yucatan.
No one wants combat pants and feel ridiculous wearing those high-tech grey zip-off pants that the big outdoor gear companies make.
Or the clown pants my mother-in-law sells.
About a year ago, Bluffworks sent a pair of their men’s travel pants to try out and put to the test, wearing them from Cancun to Merida to Cabo San Lucas to the disco to Mayan ruins and many points in between.
They are also casual enough that they don’t scream rich dumb tourist like a lot of speciality travel clothes do.
The fabric is almost entirely wrinkle-free. The pants also dry super-fast, which means you hand-wash them at night and wear them the next day, no problem. They have a little bit of stretch to them.
Probably the coolest thing about the Bluffworks travel pants is the hidden zipper pockets.
We travel in all sorts of cities where criminals are everywhere, like Detroit, or Honolulu.
The hidden zippers are sewn inside both front pockets and one back pocket — unless you know they’re there, you won’t even notice them. This extra protection against quick-fingered pickpockets gives me some added peace of mind.
Like having a travel agent like you know who.
I took this photo in the Hotel Krystal while snorkeling a few feet from the beach.
After you visit here you'll know why Cancun is the prefered snorkeling and diving location the west side of paradise. The magical waters near these lodgings are a natural aquarium. The Hotel Krystal Cancun staff can assist in setting up dives.
The taxi driver can assist in going to dives.
And for the snorkeler shallow reefs abound.
Geology has made Cancun’s uniqueness since the island of Isla Mujeres protects the reefs from the powerful open ocean waves crashing on its western side. This barrier reef thing and the gentle current from the Gulf Stream provide Cancun with turquoise transparent waters and those ideal conditions for diving or snorkeling in a most rewarding ecosystem.
At the doorstep of the Krystal Cancun is Dady O's disco. Music is hip hop, salsa, disco, electro, minimal, and maximo I guess.
What is minimal music? This is music that works with limited or minimal materials: pieces that use only a few notes, pieces that use only a few words of text, or pieces written for very limited instruments, such as antique cymbals, bicycle wheels, or whiskey glasses.
It includes pieces that sustain one basic electronic rumble for a long time. It includes pieces made exclusively from recordings of rivers and streams. It includes pieces that move in endless circles.
Some claim the dance floor has some cracks and their heel gets caught.
The dance floor spins (turns around) regardless if you're on open bar or not.
Another bar nearby Hotel Krystal Cancun is The City.
This club only opens on Fridays so plan your vacation to Cancun accordingly because you may want to go here. It is packed– There are three levels with the capacity of 6,000 thousand people. The floor gets really crowded whereas if you have a table you have more room, and make friends with the people next to you! The City plays a lot of house/EDM American music
Sometimes flights get delayed.
Notice the photo to the left.
Appears that guy in the blue hooded jacket been waiting quite a spell.
The scenario goes like this.
It's the day of your departure. You got a 4PM flight scheduled on Delta.
You plan to leave your Cancun lodgings at 1PM.
You contact the airline to see if the flight is on time.
They reply it is delayed several hours.
Instead of hanging around the airport use Hotel Krystal's bag check service and store the luggage and continue to trip around the most exciting part of Cancun.
Forum by the Sea is open 24 hours a day.
Jewelry stores, record stores, specialty shops, art shops, souvenir joints.
So many eateries.
And bars like Hard Rock, Chilis, Carlos and Charlies.
And even a spa.
So when you depart the awesome Hotel Krystal Cancun you don't go looking like that poor sucker above.
You know the Hotel Krystal Cancun is directly accross the road to the convention center.
Sometimes interesting events happen there.
Other times find uptight elderly ladies attending some church rivival thing. Who can be a royal pain.
Old lady: Can I have change?
Cashier: I’m sorry, ma’am, but we can’t make change from the registers. The drawer only opens when we put in a sale. We can’t open it ourselves.
Old lady: Well, all right. Give me a cup of coffee, then.
(The cashier gets her coffee, puts in the sale, and gives her three $5 bills and a $1 bill as change. Then, naturally, he closes the drawer.
Waitress: Here you go, ma’am. Have a nice day.
Old lady: Excuse me! This $5 bill has INK smudged on it! I want a different bill!
Waitress: I’m sorry, but I can’t do that.
Old lady: I don’t want change. I just want a different bill!
(At this point, the Waitress realizes he’s getting nowhere with this grumpy old lady and goes to get the manager. As such, he keep small rolls of bills in his apron pockets to make change for the staff if necessary.
Main man: What can I help you with, ma’am? Old lady: This bill has ink on it! I want a different bill.
Main man: Sure, I can do that. Here, I’ll trade you for this nice, brand new $5 bill. Now go on down to the lobby bar across that walkway and chill out.
Old lady: *sarcastically* Thank you! All I wanted was some change! And to raise Cain.
(You’d think that would be the end of it, but no. A few moments later…) Old lady: EXCUSE me!
Waitress: Yes, ma’am?
Old lady: This coffee is not what I like. I don’t want it anymore. Give me my money back! Here's my half finished cup with the lipstick stain on it.
Waitress: I’m sorry to hear that, ma’am. Let me go get the manager again to give you your refund. And a swift kick in the ass.
(He goes and explains the situation to the main man, who is the only one in the stand with a key to open the register for refunds.)
Cashier: *remembering that she originally came up to ask for change* Would you like your refund back in dollar bills, or quarters, or…?
Old lady: I want my money back!
Cashier: Yes, but since you asked for change earlier, I thought I’d offer to give you coins if that’s what you needed.
Main man: We can give you your $4 back in dollars, or quarters, or whatever you need.
Old lady: No, just takes these back and give me my $20. *pulls out the three fives and one dollar from her original transaction*
main man: You want a $20 bill back?
Old lady: Yes, give me my $20 back!
The neat thing is at the lobby bar in Hotel Krystal Cancun the good people are laid-back and fun to be with. As are the good folks in the pool bar.
Or up in the pool.
Here at Krystal everything's cool. Your lodgings in Cancun.
Discover wonders at the Krystal Cancun beach.
While you snorkel in the transparent waters of the Krystal beach, discover the grasby fish which is spotted with red blotches. Sometimes known as the great grasby.
And colorful groupers. Feed them pieces of bread right from your hand. The juveniles are bi-colored.
Some are turquoise with white stripes. So near the Aloft Cancun. Just darn your snorkel mask.
The candy basset has blue and yellow horizontal stripes. They are secretive and not good to eat.
There are hamlets of every color of the rainbow. To snorkel or not to snorkel, that is the question. So tear yourself away from the Ipod dock in your Aloft lodgings, put on the swim suit and head on down to the beach.
There are mackerel as well. As Kingfish said holy mackerel there Andy.
And those skinny Wahoo. Not to confuse with an internet search engine.
Parrotfish are my personal favorite, with multicolored bodies matching their backgrounds to fool predators.
And they run right off this Krystal Cancun beach.
Want to see Rosita's favorite fish? see Rosita's fish
Those polka-dot batfish look like monsters with tiny feet. Find them by the coral. They go to 11 inches long.
Sometimes see a turtle or a small squid apearing to swim backwards.
Discover. There's so much more to Cancun then all those bars around and in the Aloft.
Coming out of the water and taking off his snorkeling mask, George spotted this girl in a pink swimsuit on a beach chair reading.
Going over he called out what ya readin'?
Hemingway she replied. Something about bells, balls, and bulls.
Yea, I know Hemingway. Read this one 'bout this old fisherman goinig a long while not catching nothin'
Well perhaps if he used a hook and bait he'd of had more luck said the girl.
Then George laughed and invited the cute girl back to the Bar in the Krystal to do a cocktail.
Off they went.
They spent the rest of the afternoon at the Krystal, doing the beachfront pool and hanging out together.
Fun hanging out at the local snack joint.
Cakes and chips.
Every day all day and night.
Nice after a day snorkeling at the beach.
When one thinks of snorkeling one imagines, and rightly so all those wonderful tropical fish. The angel fish, the gefilte fish, fish of all colors of the rainbow.
Squid which appear to swim backwards.
Starfish as well. Astrologicaly shaped.
But good people the flora and fauna include awesome coral too.
Like the brain coral.
Called so due to the spherical shape of its' colonies.
And these corals have more brains than most Mexican judges, who if they don't wise-up will get themselves lynched.
The life span of a brain coral is some 200 years. Just think about it. These corals were there before the Titanic. Before the Civil War.
And you can see them now.
Brain corals use their tentacles to catch food during the day. At night, they use their tentacles for protection by wraping them over the grooves on their surface.
see a photo of a brain coral I took with my underwater camera off the beach. The brain coral is to the left.
Note the jagged ridges along its' surface.
The groves and channels on their surface look like folds of the human brain.
Corals eat algae, small drifting fish, but they don't like whole wheat bread. No one does.
If you're lucky enough to see them eating be sure to say buen provecho which is equivalent to hearty appetite (bon apetit) or bonne apetit or thokozela ukudla kwakho.
That last one is Zulu used after boiling the missionary in a pot.
Try not to touch or damage the coral as around the world coral reefs are in serious danger.
And don't feed them whole wheat bread.
These coral grow mighly large.
After this experience have a drink in the lobby bar here in the Krystal Cancun.
A tequila with a twist of lime.
Or a whiskey straight up.
Or those drinks with the little umbrellas with their stems piercing a fruit.
Off to the side a trio is playing some jazz.
Meet new friends.
Dig the scene.
Someone is surfing the net with the fast wireless internet access in the Krystal Cancun. Their cold beer on the table.
Some great Mexican drinks:
The paloma -- tequila, grapefruit, lime and soda. Pulque (the milky fermented sap of the maguey cactus) is the ancestor of tequila and goes all the wat back to the Aztecs, when pulque was a highly esteemed drink of the elders, priests, candelstick makers, tinkers, tailors, and warriors.
The most classic and awful cerveza preparada (beer cocktails) in Mexico, the michelada is essentially a Mexican cocktail made with beer, lime juice and tomato juice (uch!) or clamato (a blend of tomato juice and clam juice) (super uch!).
Whatever your drink, you all will dig the Krystal Cancun bar and hang out. No tellin who you'll meet.
Tequila sunrise is aweome.Tequila, Grenadine, Ice Cubes, Crushed ice, fresh Orange Juice.
The Bull is Tequila, half a glass of light beer, lemonade. Not that bunk about Trump's wall and who pays for it.
Or anything Hilary Clinton says.
How to do the margarits: Tequila, Cointreau, Fresh Lime (or Lemon could be used) Juice, a lime, crushed ice and salt.
Tequila is distilled from the Blue Agave plant. Back in the days of the Spanish Conquest, wine and brandy were in short supply, so the Spanish ordered that the Agave be processed and distilled to create alcohol. The Aztecs replied, sure beats the inquisition!
The plant is grown in the state of Jalisco, with additional plantations also present in Guanajuato, Michoacan, Nayarit and Tamaulipas, although all tequila production takes place in the state of Jalisco. Tequila can be enjoyed straight or with a wide variety of mixers.

While we were doing tequila slammers in the bar the nine-year-old was excited to find a chocolate milk machine in the area.
But her grumpy aunt did not approve. “Chocolate milk for dinner?” she asked.
“It’s delicious!” said my the little girl.
Well it's morning somewhere replied the aunt. She mellowed out. After all she's in the bar and she has lodgings in Cancun.
Doctor Jones likes to stop off at the Casada bar in the Krystal after work and enjoy an almond daiquiri.
One day, Dick the bartender runs out of almonds and uses hickory nuts instead.
The doctor takes a sip and says, “Is this an almond daiquiri, Dick?”
And Dick replies, “It’s a hickory daiquiri, Doc.”
Great location near the big nightlife spots, Chedraui Supermarket just next door, and ferry to Isla Mujeres across the street. Overheard at the pro shop:
Four old men went into the pro shop after playing 18 holes of golf in Pok Ta Pok.
The pro asked, Did you guys have a good game today? No one passed out?
The first old guy said, Yes, I had three riders today.
The second old guy said, I had the most riders ever. I had five.
The third old guy said, I had seven riders, the same as last time.
The last old man said, I beat my old record. I had 12 riders today.
After they went into the locker room, another golfer who had heard the old guys talking about their game went to the pro and said, "I've been playing golf for a long time and thought I knew all the terminology of the game, but what's a rider? Never heard that one in any hotels Playa del Carmen.
The pro said, A rider is when you hit the ball far enough to actually get in the golf cart and ride to it. --
Mind you those oldies need to ride the cart for anything more than 10 yards.

Martin Keper travels once or twice a month for his work, almost all domestic and for fairly short trips.
Poor guy never been to Hotel Krystal Cancun. Shame of it all.
Plus this poor sucker has this bean-counter hassling him at work.
As a resident of Washington, D.C., Martin almost always fly American from DCA simply because it’s much closer to his modest ranch house.
This has never been a problem, and his colleagues who travel for work do the same, depending on their nearest airport.
A few months ago, however, he was called in for a random travel expense audit and the cheap pain in the butt accounting rep said it was inappropriate to be using one airport and one airline so often.
He should consider getting on down to the Hotel Krystal Cancun with our low prices.
(Their employee handbook which no one ever looks at, states that employees should consider the least expensive feasible option, including all three D.C.-area airports.)
Martin replied that the added expense of ground transport to farther-flung airports would routinely add at least $100 to each round-trip, which always makes flying from the preferred airport a wash, and that his putz status on American means an additional $25-35 savings each way on checked baggage that he’d have to pay on other airlines.
The el cheapo accounting rep then said that he should use the alternative airports and use public transit, which takes far longer to use (even though the boring employee manual specifically says the organization reimburses for cabs). The shmuck accounting rep said he could also save money by taking flights that leave at 5 a.m. and return after 10 p.m., even though my business needs often call for spending the morning in the office and taking an afternoon flight.
Plus who in their right mind wants to get up 3AM to catch a 5AM flight.
So Martin the shleper had the balls to tell him where to shove it.
As part of the audit follow up, he instructed me to send accounting screenshots of all flights on Kayak available ANYTIME ON THE SAME DAY to ensure this shleper is choosing the cheapest option regardless of time of day.
Screw him said Martin, then went ahead and booked to Hotel Krystal Cancun where he is soaking up the sun, doing the discos, and seeing awesome flora and fauna in the transparent waters off the Krystal Cancun beach and coral reefs.
