Mayans they had 20 days in their week. Yes. Imax, cakemix, Kan, Can not, turkey, lamb, Lamat, wheresitat, Ok, Eb, Kawak, whack cow.
The ancient Maya were great visionaries as they consumed psycodelic plants. The present Colonial Cancun is great vacationary. The Mayans dedicated many years to the observations of time cycles when they should have been working.
When the golden-age leaders developed the calendars, they entered into the cosmic in communion to discover the revelation.
The Mayans understood everything is cyclic in nature. They studied the cycle of bugs, fish, plants, homo sapiens and straights, the earth, the solar system, cycles of the macro and micro cosmos, Universal cycles, and even lunar cycles. They created 20 calendars; some hanging on the walls of auto part joints. My favorite was one of the Starship Enterprise. The western world knows of only five or six. Today the living Maya are allowed to speak of 15 of these calendars. Five of these Calendars they do not speak of at this time. These are the Calendars of the cosmic ancestors.
What do you think are in those five secret calendars? If you win get the low prices above.

a ♦ Korean president sends a man to the sun
b ♦ Hilary Clinton tells the truth
c ♦ big sun storms reach the earth
d ♦ CancunSteve gives hundreds of dollars of discounts in addition to low prices and personal service with your Cancun booking

Why pay more for Cancun lodgings to be on a beach when every beach in Mexico is by law public.
No need to pay to be on it. One goes back to the room just to sleep anyway.
Be smart. Take a cheap bus or cab to the beach or walk to anywhere else in this town.

Great bars and spots near the Hotel Colonial Cancun for economic Cancun lodgings.
One lame bar has table games and such like gold fish, enie-meeny-mine-mo, tic-tac-toe, 52 pick-up, pin the tail on the president, Custer's revenge, Pac Man.
But not to fret downtown also has Mambo Cafe and Sabor Latino which are the biggest clubs (both are salsa discos with live bands and DJ spinning disco, techno, and latin music), but there are many small, open-air bars & restaurants on Yaxchilan Avenue, or near El Parque de Las Palapas that are quite lively.
Many bars downtown have live rock bands several nights of the week.
You will not find the Open Bar option at the small bars & restaurants in downtown Cancun, but you will find 2-for-1 drink specials, or even 3-for 1 sometimes!
Prices are quite reasonable.
Experience REAL Mexico when you visit the bars and restaurants downtown.
Enjoy. And there are sports bars with screens displaying the latest sporting event. So if you've come here to see the tee-off on the green just tune-in and watch the screen.
You all know Cancun today with upscale duty free shopping on your favorite perfumes from Europe.
Designer clothes at less than outlet prices.
International restaurants.
Nightlife on a scale of that found on the strip in Las Vegas. And speaking of Vegas, Cancun has casinos as well.
The finest snorkeling adventures on the planet in clear transaprent waters where exotic flora and fauna await you.
All this either at the doorstep of Hotel Colonial Cancun, or a few steps away. Or a few bus stops away.
And if under the sea is not your thing, there's windsurfing, parasailing up high, wave runners, just swim around, swim with dolphins who echo your movements, swim to the left and they follow in turn.
Or fish. All this with your economical Cancun lodgings.
And golf courses designed by the greats. These little holes each with a pole next to it with a flag at the top numbering 1 to 18. So close to Hotel Colonial Cancun.

How did this all begin?
Once upon a time, the Yucatan Peninsula was inhabited and dominated by Mayans until most of the local sites were abandoned by the 15th century.
This was long before Hotel Colonial Cancun.
For centuries, this region was mostly wetlands, mangroves, jungles, and virgin beaches with no parasailing nor kids selling trinkets nor visitors reading novels stretched out on a beach chair signaling the waiter for another cocktail.
The Maya originally called the area Kan Kun meaning den of snakes, as they didn't spell so hot, which later evolved into “Can Cun” by the Spanish.
Then in 1968 the Mexican government recognized the potential of this strip of land - known as Cancun island - between Nichupte Lagoon and the Caribbean Sea to grow into a popular tourist destination.
With franchises, hotels like Colonial Cancun, and places to party.
Development began immediately, establishing a connection between Cancun island and the Cancun mainland.
Cancun was designed in two sections: Cancun city or El Centro (downtown) to the west and the hotel zone or tourist area to the east. Cancun Centro is the part of the city where most residents live, where I live, and we have our offices, and where Hotel Colonial Cancun is, and consists of the normal institutions of daily life, such as banks, schools, churches, hospitals, markets, restaurants, foreign consulates, and homes.
A Walmart here and there. And a planetarium too.
The tourist area or hotel zone is east of Cancun Centro on a peninsula that runs between the Caribbean Sea and Nichupte Lagoon. This area consists of tours, attractions, and water activities, handicraft shops, upscale shopping malls, gourmet restaurants, trendy cafes, funky bars, and popular nightclubs, such as Dady O, among others.
Cancun was first introduced in 1974, the same year that Quintana Roo became an official Mexican state, and welcomed travelers from all over the world. Known as the Mexico Caribbean, Cancun has become one of the most popular tourist destinations with thousands of visitors arriving from the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, and of course, Mexico.
The Mayans left their mark in the area with important zones nearby and sites within Cancun itself.
The development of Cancun was approved in 1969 and eventually began in 1970, with the construction of a road from Puerto Juarez and a small airfield. Interest from investors was slow, as are many things in Mexico, so much so that the Mexican government was forced to shell out pesos.
Those lucky swingers who stay at Temptation today may not know they are staying in Cancun's first hotel.
Long before the recent multi-million dollar renovations at these acult-only Cancun lodgings, the pioneers of Cancun constructed the first hotel.
It was Playa Blanca, then became Blue Bay Getaway. Now Temptation.
Today enjoy it all paying small at Hotel Colonial Cancun.
Cancun International Airport may rank second to Mexico City's International Airport in terms of overall passenger traffic, but no other Mexican air hub greets more international passengers than this principal gateway to Mexico's most popular holiday getaway. Since 1999, the annual number of passengers served here has rather skyrocketed from just under seven million to over 13 million today.
And some of those booked into Colonial Cancun.

In the beginning important investment poured into Cancun from some major American banks.
Us investments in Mexico have an entrenched history.
Why Trump can't just dump NAFTA.
Would be like taking away the Hotel Colonial Cancun and putting up a Quality Inn.
Next, there’s all the inexpensive stuff we enjoy buying from Mexico. It would get very costly, sparking a big consumer backlash.
Consider guitars, do re mi. You can buy a Mexican-made Fender Telecaster, similar to the guitar Bruce Springsteen plays, for about $500-$600, compared with $1,200 for the U.S.-made version. Sure, the quality is lower. But Fender’s Mexican Telecasters are quite good. And losing them, or seeing them go up a lot in price, would take away an option for budding musicians on a budget. Likewise, the prices of many of cars, appliances and electronics would go up a lot, too.
Related to this, after 22 years of free trade under NAFTA, a lot of U.S. companies now have complex supply chains in place that run throughout Mexico.
Whatever happens Hotel Colonial Cancun is here for YOU.
A few blocks from your Cancun lodgings in Hotel Colonial Cancun is Parque las Palapas or the Zocolo. Town square.
Always something going on. Fun to hang out and dig the scene. Stage with balarinas practacing. Or a show in progress.
Mexican fast food booths serve tamales, tacos, and even pizza. Convenient tables abound.
On the main drag, Avenida Tulum where Hotel Colonial Cancun is located are all the banks you'll ever need. To change money. Do transfers. Cash travelers checks.
There's Banamex, Santander, HSBC, Bannorte, and all the rest of the gang.
The city hall is across the street often with exhibits and sometimes arts and crafts; a few steps from Hotel Colonial Cancun.
Several pharmacies compete to offer a full line of sun products, vitamins, novelties, and basic medicines as well.
Too many bars and restaurants to mention. The inevitable Burger King to taco joints, to upscale Italian food at La Dolce Vita.
Also a stone's throw from Hotel Colonial is Thai cusine.
Perricos a restaurant-bar a block away has good food and fun on Avenida Yachilan.
Many bars and even theaters abound here and so close to Hotel Colonial. During the day hop on any city bus going out to the beaches, they're all public these beaches.
Buses are fast, safe, and cheap.
In the Bull Ring a few bus stops away find many bars and eateries. And that's no bull. And bull fights as well. O Lay.
