Before you lock yourself into an all-inclusive do consider this. The Hotel NYX Cancun menu part shown on left is so reasonable. For example a shrimp with ginger sauce is 120 pesos or $8.80 at today's exchange rates (August 15 2012).

Let's say you want to do a Chinese restaurant in town. When you paid for the all inclusive package you may forego the experience thinking well I already paid for dinner in my package. don't want to pay twice.

OR lets say on Wednesday you want to explore Chichen Itza or XelHa for the day. While eating all your meals out of the hotel those already paid for on the all inclusive plan is money lost.

Our stay with my girlfriend and our daughter was great!
Immediately greeted with smiles1 and the eagerness to take care of us. We arrived prior to check-in 9AM, but Lizet at the front desk hooked us up with a room that was ready anyway!
It was nice to be able to unpack and get changed for the beach/pool. Everything was neat and clean, and the food was excellent and well priced. If you want to stay at a smaller resort w/all the bells and whistles of a mainstream one this is your place.
1 hope it wasn't because of one of those "I'm a donkey" signs the kid puts on my back.

I cannot get it across to anyone about just how much fun we had. We had three couples and everyone had a great time.
Jaun was the best at helping us out on things to do and activities. He is worth his weight in gold.
We did not do the tours, as our other friends did, but from what i could see he was very helpful.
Lizabeth oh what a bartender!!!! That's why we didn't leave the bar to go on trips.
The view from out room was great!
