Welcome to the ecological
park of Cancun also called the Museum
Casa Maya. Here find walking paths where you can stroll or jog in an ecological setting
surrounded by jungle where birds abound. There is a reproduction of how the Mayans lived
many centuries ago with a dweling as shown to the right. Esperanza who may have handled
your reservation thru CancunSteve poses near the well. There is a duck pond with water
turtles. Little monkey-like creatues with long tails who cross the trail right in front of
you. And a spot demonstrating how chicle (chewing gum) is made from trees. A small museum
displays an areal photo of Punta Cancun cerca 1972. At that time there was only one hotel
in that area. Do you know which one? Stop over in the museum to see.
| The crockodile to the left needs a drink. Can you feed him the French champagne? Click
anywhere on the white area. Then use your arrow keys to move the champagne towards the

So if one afternoon you feel to get away from the malls; bars; action in Cancun and just get laid-back take a stroll in the ecological park. Remember it's free. And bring the little ones as there's a playground for the kids as well. |
